How’s Work Homemaker Services help create a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment so that you or your loved one can continue living independently. A homemaker visit can also serve as a wellbeing check and a watchful eye on a loved one. Some of the many daily household ADL’s homemakers can provide support with are listed here.

  • Vacuum
  • Sweep
  • Mop
  • Clean the bathroom
  • Clean the kitchen
  • Dust
  • Empty and take out trash
  • Change sheets, make bed
  • Laundry and folding
  • Tidying home
  • Grocery shopping
  • Wash dishes
  • Meal planning and prep
  • Perform safety checks

Clients with Homemaker services may also need help with Personal Care ADLs, Transportation, or Companionship. Please see those service descriptions to further consider your care options. For heavier cleaning, lifting, deep scrubbing Chore services may necessary. 

Clients are responsible for providing cleaning supplies used for Homemaker services.
